The Battle of Hoth, a key event in "Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back," sees the Rebel Alliance's icy base discovered by the Galactic Empire, prompting a massive Imperial assault led by Darth Vader. Despite heroic resistance from Rebel forces, including Luke Skywalker and Rogue Squadron engaging AT-AT walkers with snowspeeders, the overwhelming Imperial onslaught forces the Rebels to retreat and abandon their base.
