"The Clown at Midnight" is a Batman comic arc published in Detective Comics #726-729 in 1999, written by Alan Grant and illustrated by Norm Breyfogle. The story follows Batman as he investigates a series of murders inspired by the works of the fictional playwright Anton Karoselle. As Batman delves deeper into the case, he confronts his own psychological demons while attempting to stop the killer before they strike again, ultimately uncovering a dark conspiracy rooted in Gotham's theatrical underworld.
